Has anybody out there ever had Mononucleosis, a.k.a. mono? I've often thought that would be a great illness for me. I'm very good at sitting around. And do you know if you can get disability pay while you have it? Wow, that could be a real kick-start to the writing career. I'm going to give this some serious consideration.
I've never had it, though, so I don't know what it's like. Do you just get weak, or do you actually suffer? I only want to be sick if it's fun.

Holly according to wikipedia, it causes: "Fever, Tender and enlarged/swollen lymph nodes—particularly the posterior cervical lymph nodes,
Sore throat—White patches on the tonsils and back of the throat are often seen, Muscle weakness and Mental fatigue (sometimes extreme,
Enlarged spleen (splenomegaly, which may lead to rupture) and/or liver (hepatomegaly), Petechial hemorrhage, Abdominal pain - a possible symptom of a potentially fatal rupture of the spleen, Aching muscles , Headache, Loss of appetite , Depression , Skin rash
, Diarrhea , Dizziness or disorientation , Uncontrolled shaking at times, Unable to swallow due to enlarged tonsils, Dry cough , Supra-orbital oedema—the eyes become puffy and swollen—may occur in the early stages of infection."
So its not very fun!
I think you catch it by kissing or sucking the saliva out of someone sick with mono. Very gross.
But there´s another type of mono that only turns people into chronic fatigue slobs.
Don´t buy it at the disease store.
Hi there,
destiny lead me here and I was filled with interest. I, myself had mononucleisis and can tell it is not qualifiable as fun. This illness brings no pain nor else but fatigue. Basically you don't want to act in any way.
At the aftermath it is like a gap in your life, inaction brings emptiness. Not recommended if you plan on writing, you may not even want to.
AH, non molto bene.
Sincerely yours,
Ian
i had it and was miserable, so no its not "fun"! do your research next time so you wont sound like a complete dumbass please! i mean do you think the flu is fun too?
The great thing about sarcasm is that no research is required. However, an astute audience is.
Fist bumps to Marquioni and Ian for getting it.
